This Strawberry salad is the epitome of summer salads. This recipe combines the sweetness of fresh strawberries with crunchy walnuts and savory, salty bleu cheese. The strawberry vinaigrette complements the salad perfectly with a touch of sweetness and lots of tang.
3 cups spring mix
lettuce, washed, chopped
1 cup strawberries,
washed, sliced
1 small red onion,
sliced in 2 inch slices
½ cup crushed walnuts
½ cup bleu cheese
Combine
lettuce, strawberries, onion and walnuts in a large salad bowl. Toss gently to
mix all ingredients. Sprinkle cheese liberally over vegetables. Serve
immediately
For the vinaigrette
1 cup non-infused
olive oil, like our Hojiblanca
½ cup Traditional 18
Yr. balsamic vinegar
¼ cup Strawberry
balsamic vinegar
To
make vinaigrette, combine olive oil, champagne vinegar and oregano vinegar in a
small mixing bowl. Whisk together ingredients until well combined and mixture
has thickened slightly.
