Balsamic Strawberries with Goat Cheese Crostini

This delicious appetizer was featured during our Crostini Party tasting event back in September. The combination of the creamy goat cheese with the sweetness of the strawberries makes the flavors pop! It's perfect for elegant enough for cocktail parties but simple enough to have as a quick snack.

2 cups strawberries, thinly sliced
1/4 cup Lavender balsamic vinegar
1 tsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp basil

1 loaf french bread, sliced and toasted

4 ounces goat cheese, room temperature

In a small bowl, combine strawberries, balsamic, brown sugar and basil. Stir to combine ingredients. Let sit for about an hour to marinate the flavors together.

Once strawberries are ready, drain excess liquid from bowl.

To assemble crostini, layer bread slice with a thin layer of goat cheese, top with balsamic strawberries. Repeat layers for each slice of bread.
